The event will be opened by a lecture from Prof Gian Maria Rossolini, highlighting the importance of molecular biology identification of Gram-negative and related resistances for the sepsis patient management.
Interesting evaluation results of the Molecular Mouse Sepsis panel from the Fondazione Policlinico Universitario A. Gemelli IRCCS, Roma, and from Arcispedale S. Maria Nuova IRCCS Reggio Emilia, Italy will be discussed by the team of Prof Teresa Spanu and Prof Edoardo Carretto.
Dr Nuria Prim, Hospital Universitario Arnau de Vilanova, Lleida, Barcelona, Spain, will share her experience of the benefit of the I-dOne introduction in a medium-sized laboratory routine.
The workshop will feature a special section dedicated to the fast phenotypic screening for multidrug resistance organisms with the presentation of the evaluation performances by Dr Marinês Dalla Valle Martino, Hospital Israelita Albert Einstein, São Paulo, Brazil.
Prof Emilia Cercenado, Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Madrid, Spain, and Prof. Veronica Seija Scaroni, Universidad de la República and Hospital de Clínicas Montevideo, Uruguay, will moderate and conduct the event adding their valuable knowledge.
